Unlucky for some
Ocean’s 13 set to shoot in 2006
Okay, so maybe the last one wasn’t as good as we all hoped it would be but is that going to stop Clooney and crew tooling up for another buddy-packed heist fest? Of course it’s not.
Producer Jerry Weintraub has pulled former Warner Bros. exec Rob Guralnick back to the firm via his Warner’s based (and imaginatively titled) Jerry Weintraub Productions. The word is that Jerry was keen to have Rob onboard from the early stages of planning for Ocean’s third instalment.
Weintraub recently received a script from Runaway Jury scribblers Brian Koppelman and David Levien; this has prompted discussions with Section Eight Productions, namely Clooney and director Steven Soderbergh, about shooting this autumn.
No clues yet as to how they will attempt to top the elaborate characterisations and complex plot put forward in the second instalment…if in doubt, slip in a few cameos and overload on in-jokes.
