Until Dawn was something of a sleeper hit for Sony. Initially planned as a PS3 game with Move support, it was released on PS4 with marginal marketing behind it, but plenty of praise and sales that, according to developer Supermassive, surpassed expectations. Even with that success, an Until Dawn 2 is not currently in the studio's cards.
"There's a lot of speculation about what we're doing and what we're working on right now," Supermassive studio director Pete Samuels told GamesIndustry in a recent interview. "We're not working on Until Dawn 2 at the moment. We're working on other things."
Those "other things," according to GamesIndustry, include branching out to other platforms, developing new franchises, and working in virtual reality. We'll see the latter when the Until Dawn spin-off, Until Dawn: Rush of Blood, launches for PlayStation VR.
But let's say that an Until Dawn sequel were on the table. Is it something players would want? Why don't you tell us?
