Virtua Fighter 5 takes to the ring
[PS3] Get your flying kicks with this jaw-bruising footage
Tuesday 29 August 2006
A fighting series so deep it practically needs lifeguards on duty in the arcades, Virtua Fighter was guaranteed plenty of attention even before its next-gen version turned up with visuals made of magic and PS3 exclusivity. To make up for PS3's general non-showing at last week's Leipzig Game Convention, we've got new footage of the game's characters in action - hit the movies tab above to watch.
Showing off VF5's acrobatic new entrants El Blaze (along with old hand Wolf) and Eileen, along with their distractingly beautiful arenas, it's enough to get Tekken and DOA coughing nervously and shuffling their feet.
Released a few months back in Japanese arcades, you'll sadly have to wait until next year to enjoy VF5 in the comfort of your own lounge - but the movie suggests it's going to be worth the extra wait.
