Voice talent confirmed for X-Men

X-Men - Iceman movie (WMV, 8.00MB) - right-click to download
X-Men - Silver Samurai movie (WMV, 5.78MB) - right-click to download

Tuesday 25 April 2006
Activision has confirmed that all the major X-Men characters in upcoming X-Men: The Official Game will be voiced by the stars of the movie, and has released new game trailers showing Iceman and baddie the Silver Samurai in action.

Patrick Stewart, Hugh Jackman, Alan Cumming and Shawn Ashmore will provide the voices for Professor X, Wolverine, Nightcrawler and Iceman, respectively, with the latter three mutants being the stars of the game. Download the movie at the top of the article to see how mutant popsicle Iceman can carve his way through the skies.

Activision has also released images and a movie of the Silver Samurai, presumably one of the bosses in the game. The Silver Samurai is a particularly tricky opponent as he is able to channel tachyon energy into his sword enabling the blade to cut through almost any substance.

X-Men: The Official Game will be released on 19 May, the week before the film goes on general release in the UK.
