Wario Ware footage is for girls?
Nintendo promo targets slumber parties
As Nintendo never fails to inform us, Wii is a console aimed at hunting down non-gamers. This Wario Ware: Smooth Moves video shows little of the game but plenty of the big N's mindset, featuring, as it does, a trio - nay, a gaggle - of young ladies coming to grips with Wii's controller. Much giggling results. Hit the Movies tab above and click on "Wario Ware: Smooth Moves - trailer - 11-16-06"to watch the demo.
Sure, it's no different from Microsoft or Sony's achingly Zeitgeist-hunting promo imagery featuring over-styled models fumbling with new technology. But Nintendo is deadly serious about embracing the non-gaming masses - hopefullytheir target market will respond. After all, Wii is about fun for both the hardcore and the casual gamer.
Fortunately, GamesRadar can assure any gamers with a Y chromosome that Wario Ware is a stupendously enjoyable minigame romp, and suitable for all. We'll have our review twirling, pushing, steering and hula-hooping for your attention soon.
