Watch Cate Blanchett's Thor: Ragnarok stunt double throw some wicked shapes

In just under a year we'll be treated to the third solo outing for Marvel's Norse god. Thor: Ragnarok promises a lot of Hulk, road tripping, and oh yeah - Cate Blanchett playing a terrifying villain. What more could you want from a superhero flick?

If your answer to that was "BADASS STUNTS!" then today's your lucky day! A set video taken during the movie's Queensland shoot has made its way online featuring a look at some pretty nifty stunts. It features a bunch of moments that seem a little tedious (lighting tests) but it also showcases the absolutely stellar stuntwork (yes, I'm a fan) of Blanchett's stunt woman Zoe Bell. Check it out:

Didja see those spins?! Very impressive stuff indeed that looks rather athletic for a Marvel villain. It'll be a blast to see how those shapes are edited together with Blanchett's performance.

As for Bell, she's done work in TONS of movies. It's easy to forget this talented bunch of film folk - stuntpeople - especially because we rarely see their faces onscreen. One of Bell's most notable projects was Kill Bill, where she made such an impression that Tarantino wound up writing a fictional version of her into Death Proof. Yep, she's the ballsy one who volunteers to play ship's mast.

Directed by Taika Waititi and starring Chris Hemsworth, Tom Hiddleston, Jaimie Alexander, Tessa Thompson, Jeff Goldblum, Cate Blanchett, Karl Urban, and Mark Ruffalo, Thor: Ragnarok will be released in UK cinemas on October 27, 2017 before opening in US theatres on November 3, 2017.
