We sat down with director Guillermo del Toro and Crimson Peak stars Tom Hiddleston and Mia Wasikowska to find out all the juicy details about the new gothic horror (including what it was like working with ghosts...), and with Halloween just around the corner we couldn't help but wonder what their favourite scary movies are.
The trio revealed which films get them spooked, but would you agree with their choice of scary movie? "It’s probably The Shining," admitted Hiddleston. "Because I think its so terrifying and it merits rewatching many many times."

So, Hiddleston can't stop watching The Shining, Del Toro is obsessed with Alien and Wasikowska likes Eyes Wide Shut. Some to add to your Halloween movie marathon, maybe? Co-starring Jessica Chastain, Charlie Hunnam and Burn Gorman, Crimson Peak will open in the UK and the US on October 16 2015.
