Watch the eerie trailer for M. Night Shyamalans TV series Wayward Pines
Ahead of its premiere this May, Fox has debuted a new trailer for M. Night Shyamalan’s event series, Wayward Pines.
The show revolves around Matt Dillon’s U.S. Secret Service agent who is sent to investigate the disappearance of two federal agents in the town of Wayward Pines. When he arrives, the bizarre goings on lead him to believe all is not what it seems in this quaint Northwestern ‘burg.
From this brief teaser, the show displays more than a passing resemblance to David Lynch and Mark Frost’s cult classic, Twin Peaks. The chilly Northwestern locale and snatches of offbeat behavior suggest we’re in for a world of weird this spring.
Based on the novel Pines by Blake Crouch, the show was developed by Chad Hodge who executive produced along with Donald De Line, Ashwin Rajan and Shyamalan. The latter also helmed the pilot episode.
Co-starring Melissa Leo, Terrence Howard, Carla Gugino, Shannyn Sossamon, Toby Jones, and Juliette Lewis, Wayward Pines will land on Thursday, May 14, at 9 p.m. ET on Fox.
