Watch the first full trailer for the Sherlock Christmas Special
Sherlock fans... prepare yourselves. The first full-length trailer for the TV show's Christmas special has landed online and it gave us chills!
Benedict Cumberbatch and Martin Freeman reunite as the beloved Sherlock Holmes and Doctor Watson in an spine-chilling new trailer for the Christmas special, which sees the iconic characters return to Victorian-era England.
The trailer debuted on BBC One last night following the finale of The Great British Bake Off, but if you’ve yet to see it, feast your eyes below…
Wow. As if we weren't already counting down the days 'til the detective duo were back on our screens!
Fans will be pleased to see series regulars Amanda Abbington and Una Stubbs donning Victorian dress for the special, as well as the appearance of a particular deerstalker, but it's the dark happenings on the streets of Victorian London, which really gave us goosebumps.
Steven Moffat has been keeping the details of the Christmas special tightly under wraps, but its rumoured that Sherlock will be confronting a ghostly adversary. Has trailer just confirmed this? "We all have a past, Watson." Sherlock says. "Ghosts, they’re the shadows that define our every sunny day."
Sherlock will be returning to our TV screens with the Christmas special on BBC One, unsurprisingly, this Christmas.
