'Tis the season for lots of new trailers, fa la la la la, la la la la! Over the past month or so we've seen trailers for what feels like every major release in 2016, from The BFG to Star Trek Beyond. The latest to join the party is Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them. Entertainment Weekly recently unveiled a host of images from the film, and now Warner Bros. has released the first teaser for the highly anticipated return to JK Rowling's wizarding world of Harry Potter.

The film will revolve around Eddie Redmayne's Newt Scamander, a magizoologist who carries a case full of magical creatures. When some of said creatures escape, the American wizarding authorities set out to find him...
The trailer doesn't give us much by way of specific details - understandable at this early stage - but we do get a glimpse of Colin Farrell's investigator and Katherine Waterson's witch Porpentina. It's enough to whet our appetites for now, but we'll be keeping an eye out for some more substantial footage in the new year.
Directed by David Yates and starring Redmayne, Waterston, Farrell, Samantha Morton, Jon Voight, Gemma Chan, Ron Perlman and Ezra Miller, Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them is scheduled to arrive in UK and US cinemas on November 18, 2016.
