Watch Gears of War 4 running on ‘Ultra Settings’ on a GeForce GTX 1080 powered PC

Next week, the next-gen entry in Microsoft’s blockbuster shooter franchise, Gears of War 4, finally launches on PC. Featuring a gripping new storyline set 25 years after the conclusion of the previous game, Gears of War 4 centers on J.D. Fenix—the son of Gears of War series’ protagonists Marcus Fenix and Anya Stroud.

In anticipation of Gears of War 4’s forthcoming release, a pair of all-new gameplay videos have been revealed, one of which showcases the game running in 1080p “Ultra Settings” on a gaming rig powered by an NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1080 GPU, showcasing the reimagined Guardian gameplay mode.

The second video shows off a completely reimagined version of one of the series’ most popular multiplayer maps, Gridlock. You can watch both videos in their entirety below.

Surrounded by war torn buildings covered in overgrown foliage and dilapidated city streets, the new Gridlock embodies Gears of War 4’s striking “reclaimed beauty” visual style featured throughout the game. Both the reimagined Gridlock map and footage of Gears of War 4 running on “Ultra Settings” demonstrate how the development team at The Coalition is taking advantage of modern gaming hardware to deliver the most visually stunning Gears of War experience to date.

If you want to get Gears of War 4 running as beautifully on your hardware, you will want a PC or laptop equipped with an NVIDIA GeForce GTX 10 series GPU. And now for a limited time you can score a full-game download of Gears of War 4 by purchasing a new qualifying GTX 1080, GTX 1070 graphic card, system, or notebook.
