Were The Millers red-band trailer: watch now
Jennifer Aniston is a stripper turned drug-smuggler
We’re The Millers has released a red-band trailer online, in which a faux-family attempt to smuggle drugs across the Mexican border.
The trailer earns its red-band stripes with references to illegal substances, Jennifer Aniston strutting her stuff as a stripper, some naughty words and an unsavoury game of Pictionary.
Jason Sudeikis stars as David, a low-level drug dealer who gets in over his head when his boss coerces him into crossing the Mexican border on a marijuana run. In an attempt to rustle up a low-key disguise, he corrals a random bunch of misfits including Aniston’s stripper, Rose, and streetwise teens Emma Roberts and Will Poulter, into posing as his nuclear family.

There’s also a safer green-band trailer, if you’re interested:
It’s hard to get too enthused by the footage on display in the trailer, which struggles to differentiate the film from countless other road-trip-from-hell movies, like the recent Identity Thief .
Here’s hoping that some of the biggest laughs are being held back for the finished film, and that the cast will be able to bounce of each other with some sparky improv. If nothing else, the trailer should attract a certain type of punter for Aniston’s stripping sequences alone…
Directed by Dodgeball ’s Rawson Marshall Thurber, We’re The Millers opens in the UK on 23 August 2013.
