Spaceship Falls In Russia
Ruairi Robinson, an Irish animator and director acclaimed for such sci-fi flavoured shorts as The Silent City (above) and the Academy Award-nominated Fifty Percent Grey is attached to direct sci-fi film The Fallen for Lionsgate UK and Harry Brown producer Kris Thykier. The $35 million film “is about an alien spaceship that crash lands in Russia. When it creates a 400-mile electronic dead-zone, international special ops teams are sent in to neutralise it.” The script is by Andrew Will (who’s also written Joseph Kosinski’s upcoming Archangel ). The Fallen is expected to shoot in early 2012.

Spanish website Tumba Abierta posted shots of the sets being constructed for Clash of the Titans 2 (which may or may not end up being called Wrath of the Titans ) on the island of Tenerife.
