Jon Favreau Says Bye Bye To Iron Man
Jon Favreau, director of Iron Man and Iron Man 2 , will not be returning to call the shots on the third film in the franchise, reveals Vulture . The reasons are not clear ( Vulture speculates on a number of possible reasons – creative differences, Favreau becoming too expensive – but this must all be filed under rumour at the moment) but Favreau himself confirmed the story in Tweet later yesterday: “It’s true, I’m directing Magic Kingdom , not Iron Man 3 . I’ve had a great run with Marvel and wish them the best.” Magic Kingdom is a Disney project about a family trapped in Disneyland and their magical encounters with all sorts of Disney attractions and rides. Is there the potential for some bizarre metatextual crossover with Pirates Of The Caribbean there?

TV Damon And Bonnie Unlikely To Follow The Same Path As In The Vampire Diaries Books
The Vampire Diaries executive producer Julie Plec has been talking to TV Guide about the differences between the books and the TV series, revealing that vampire Damon and witchy Bonnie won’t be getting it together on screen like they did on the page. Plec understands that theirs is a relationship important to book fans, but says, for now, they'll just remain frenemies: “The fun we have with them right now is [going] from two people who have absolutely no respect, admiration or love for each other, whatsoever, but because they share a common goal and share common loves, they come together and are willing to put their differences aside and work together.”
Firestarter To Get Remake Treatment
Universal is set to remake Firestarter, the 1984 movie based on a Stephen King novel about a pyrokinetic child. According to Variety , the new film is “expected to be loosely based on the original King book, but with an effort to reinvent the main character with a little more edge.” Like being able to create fire by thought power alone isn’t edgy enough? Perhaps she’ll smoke?
