Welcome to the new Total Film magazine
Hello! Jane here, editor of Total Film magazine. It seems like a day doesn’t go by without a reboot, re-tool, sequel, equal, re-imagining being announced by Hollywood (hey, Emily Blunt – looking forward to your Poppins). So Total Film thought it about time we also got an overhaul. It’s been six years since we last tweaked the mag (Spider-Man would be laughing at our lack of reinvention by now) and we’ve been tinkering away for the last few months on our big makeover. And here it is!
It’s business as usual with the important bits (intelligent, informed writing, getting to the heart of any story plus unbiased, honest reviews that can’t be bought of every new release) but we’ve amped up other elements.
We’re bigger, for one. Now the biggest film mag in the world – our luxe pages give film stills all the space they need to enchant and intrigue. We’ve also added a new section, Total Film Buff, which is designed to be fun, trivia-packed and full of info about the legacy of cinema. This is your new go-to for useless information that could win you the film round at the pub quiz and for cinematic mind-training (brain-bending quiz plus dot-to-dot!).
And we’ve overhauled the whole look of the magazine to make it easier to navigate as well as easier on the eye. We’ve re-tooled our news section and we’ve added a 36-page supplement, The 100 Must-See Sci-fi and Fantasy Movies to keep your streaming services busy.
All of which is why we made the king of reinvention and smarts, Jason Bourne, our world exclusive cover star. Total Film just mirrored what Matt Damon did with his latest evolvement of the Bourne franchise – as he tells us; "We needed to go big, and we did." We hope you enjoy it. Let us know what you think at totalfilm@futurenet.com or via Facebook and Twitter.
Enjoy our special reboot offer and get 3 issues of the all-new Total Film, including our epic relaunch issue, for just £5! Plus, take our ultimate movie quiz for the chance of winning a brand new Panasonic 58" DX902 TV.
Enjoy!
