Wes Anderson seeks Moon Rise Kingdom cast
In talks with Bruce Willis, Bill Murray
Wes Anderson is lining up a killer cast for his new film Moon Rise Kingdom .
With Bruce Willis, Edward Norton, Bill Murray, Frances McDormand and Tilda Swinton all interested in working with the maverick director, Anderson’s latest is quickly turning into a future must-see.
Written by the Darjeeling Limited director with Roman Coppola, the plot is set in the ‘60s, when two kids fall in love, and decide to run away together.
Norton’s scout leader and Willis’ town sheriff lead the local community into a search. The latter, meanwhile, is having an affair with the missing girls’ mother (McDormand), whose husband (Murray) has a stockpile of his own issues.
A typical melting pot of family woes from the clan-inclined Anderson, then.
We reckon this one could have a dash of The Royal Tenenbaums (it essentially sounds like the bit where Margot and Richie run away from home, but feature-length) and we hope it'll have a sprinkling of Fantastic Mr Fox's magic (what is the Moon Rise Kingdom of the title? Perhaps a fantastical place where the kids go?).
Either way, we're slow-walking through the office with delight at Wes' return to cinema.
