"What happens when you give the ultimate power to a teenager" - the Death Note director explains all
Hot on the heels of the success of Okja, Netflix is powering ahead with its slate of original movies for 2017 - the most exciting of which looks to be a live-action adaptation of the Death Note manga series. Although fans have 'mixed' feelings about another western remake of a manga story (which has already inspired several Japanese-language live-action films), the first trailer had its moments.
Now director Adam Wingard is here to explain a little more about the movie in an exclusive behind-the-scenes look at the Netflix Original. Watch the video above to find out why he wanted to make a live-action version of Death Note and what happens when you give power over death to a teenager.
