What's your favourite shooter - is it... Call of Duty?
Also, give a little love for your most cherished strategy and free-to-play games
If you're a gamer, the GamesMaster Golden Joystick Awards need no introduction. Which is great for us because it means we can skip the bit about them being the only gaming awards that matter because they're the only gaming awards that are voted for by gamers.
Voting for this year's awards has already begun. If you haven't voted, you can do that right now by visiting the GamesMaster Golden Joystick Awards voting page.
In the meantime, to get everyone feeling sexy and excited for the awards, we'll be highlighting each of the categories in turn. Today, we're looking with feverish anticipation at the Shooter, Strategy and Free-to-play nominations.
Category: Shooter
Who are we voting for?
Cundy: "Vanquish. I like fast shiny things."
Dave: "Singularity. I'm a sucker for a plucky underdog, especially one with throwable rockets and a bullet-time sniper rifle."
Nathan: "Bulletstorm - it brings the fun back into a genre that's become dull and predictable."

Who are we voting for?

Dave: "Starcraft II. Because it is goddamn Starcraft II."
Nathan: "Ghost Trick. It's the only one I've played to completion."
Category: Free-to-play
Who are we voting for?
Cundy: "World of Tanks. Because it's, like, a world of tanks. Imagine that."
Dave: "Bejewelled 3. Pretty colours. So hypnotic. What time is it again?"
