Anyone who’s ever leafed through a Carsten Stroud novel will vouch for the fact that his page-turners are movies waiting to happen.
Perhaps one of his best, Black Water Transit, has been in pre-production at Bruce Willis’ company Cheyenne Enterprises for a little while now as a vehicle for the shiny-bonced action king.
Helmer Samuel Bayer is beginning to flesh out his cast and has managed to snag Samuel L Jackson to star alongside his Die Hard With A Vengeance cohort, as well as Kevin Bacon, James Franco and Sophie Okonedo.
Doug Richardson and newbie scribbler Robert Munic have shared key-tapping duties. Richardson previously penned Willis' hit Hostage and the new Die Hard movie, Live Free Or Die Hard, which is currently filming in the US and Canada.
The tale centres on cops, lawyers and crooks as they clash over a consignment of illegal guns. Willis is set to play anti-hero criminal Earl Pike when production kicks off in early February in New Orleans.
