Play Guitar Hero II in front of thousands of people
Wednesday 30 May 2007
Love Guitar Hero II? Wish someone other than the cat/your little sister would watch while you play it? How about playing to the same crowd as Iron Maiden, My Chemical Romance and Linkin Park? Thought you might like that. Well, we've teamed up with RedOctane to offer a pair of tickets to Download Festival, with the chance to do exactly that.
Download is being held at Donington Park, Castle Donington, on 8-10 June and Guitar Hero performances will take place on the Third Stage every night, between 10pm and midnight. These two-hour sessions will offer Guitar Hero players the opportunity to perform in front of up to 3,000 moshing fans, and experience what it’s like to be a rock star.
Each night’s best performer – as voted for by the crowd – will pick up a brand new Epiphone Les Paul courtesy of our friends at Epiphone, and the enduring respect of the rockiest festival in the world.Individuals or double acts can perform on-stage, using the Xbox 360 version of Guitar Hero II and the game’s distinctive X-Plorer controllers. Performers will be able to pick from Guitar Hero II’s 40 licensed songs along with the track packs which have been made available on the Xbox Live Marketplace.
Just in case you don't win the competition, limited spaces will also be allocated on a first come, first served basis at the event – email: guitarhero@bhpr.co.uk to register your interest. Alternatively, head to the Third Stage on the night and we’ll do our best to get you up and rocking.
