Win tickets to a Total Film screening of Will Ferrells hilarious new comedy Casa De Mi Padre

Casa De Mi Padre is the latest comedy creation from Will Ferrell, and we’re putting on a special screening for Total Film readers!

Depending on how you look at it, Casa is either the funniest Mexican soap opera to never air on daytime TV, or the barmiest mainstream comedy of the year.

Will Ferrell stars as Armando Alvrez, the good-hearted son of rancher. A charming dolt, he lives the ignorantly blissful life of a cowpoke. All that changes when his brother Raul (Diego Luna) returns to the family home, with his stunning new fiancée, Sonia (Génesis Rodríguez), in tow.

Armando doesn’t have long to stew in a jealous rage, as the source of his brother's ill-gotten gains soon transpires… and drug kingpin Onza (Gael García Bernal) comes calling.

Inspired by Mexican telenovelas, Casa revels in its willfully OTT melodrama, which is shot through with grindhouse grime. Ferrell’s committed grasp of the foreign tongue is gaspworthy for all the right reasons, and the faux-shonky production values will have you pointing, laughing, and wishing you had your own mythical tiger puppet.

We’re throwing a special screening of Casa De Mi Padre , and you could be going. The screening takes place at the Prince Charles Cinema, Leicester Place, London at 7.00pm on Thursday 31 May 2012.

Not only will our lucky winners get to see the film for FREE, before it’s in cinemas, they’ll also get to chow down on free burritos courtesy of Tortilla, all the while being serenaded by a live mariachi band. If that doesn’t get you in the mood for some Mexican madness, it might be time to hang up your sombrero, gringo…
