Winning Eleven - the next generation
Konami release two next-gen pics
Konami has given us a glimpse into the future of virtual football with two delicious next-gen shots of Winning Eleven Pro Evolution Soccer 2007. You can see one of the sizzling new shots below and the other by clicking the images tab above.
The game has already been confirmed for 360 and even got a special mention from Microsoft's Peter Moore at the pre-E3 Xbox conference. Microsoft is apparently very keen to see Winning Eleven Pro Evolution Soccer 2007 on Xbox 360, as it believes it will help develop the market for the console and the Xbox Live service in Japan.
As for the game itself, there are few precise details on how it will differ from Winning Eleven on current consoles, although we think it's safe to assume that there will be significant improvements in all areas and particularly in terms of how the game looks.
Considering that series creator Shingo "Seabass" Takatsuka has long stated that Winning Eleven is constantly pushing PS2 in terms of the amount of animations that can be crammed into the game, it makes sense to presume a lot of these problems will be solved by the jump to more powerful machines.
