Wonder Woman to appear in Batman Vs. Superman?
Warner hints at future of character
Warner Bros has been dancing around the issue of Wonder Woman for some time now, with various studio figures making noises about wanting to bring the character back into the spotlight.
Both a TV show and a solo movie have been discussed at one time or another, with Greg Silverman, Warner's President Of Creative Development and Worldwide Production, the latest to get in on the act.
"Wonder Woman is an amazing character," says Silverman. "I think it’s a great opportunity both for box office success, but also to have an amazingly powerful female superhero."
So far so predictable, but what was more interesting was the question put to him about the rumours of her cropping up in the forthcoming Batman Vs. Superman movie.
"We are taking it all very seriously and are trying to do a plan that’s respectful to those characters and maximizes the stories as best they can," says Silverman. "Everything that has been speculated are things that we’ve thought about."
Throwing Wonder Woman into the mix would be a bold move for Warner, although given the studio has cast Affleck as Batman, bold moves aren't exactly out of its remit…
Batman Vs. Superman opens in the US on 17 July 2015 with a UK date to be confirmed.
