World Gone Sour demo - What do Sour Patch Kids, Creed from The Office and Method Man have in common?
The Sour Patch Kids invade our world in this side-scrolling platformer
Besides all of them being sour then sweet (well, maybe just the candies), Sour Patch Kids, Creed (William Schneider), and rap star Method Man are in some way involved with World Gone Sour, a Little Big Planet inspired side-scrolling platformer from Beefy Media. The game follows the adventures of a discarded Sour Patch Kid who missed his opportunity to fulfill his life's purpose of getting eaten. The little green guy will need to fight mutated, demented candies and survive the hazards of normal human environments like chewing gum infested movie theaters and psychotic, little girl's bedrooms. Your Sour Patch Kid has a number of abilities at his disposal, like recruiting others to toss around to reach switches and collect items Pikmin style, or stretch them out to form a grapple to swing across gaps. Watch us play the first level with Adam Boyes, President of Beefy Media, in the video below.
If you're still wondering exactly how Method Man fits into all of this, the answers lie in the video below.
World Gone Sour will be available to download on Xbox Live Arcade and PlayStation Network on April 11.
