World of Nintendo
Pikachu hats, kitty cats, and... Wii Fit tats?
13) Nintendo-pocalypse
Remember the Greenpeace document that shamed Nintendo a few months ago by awarding them a big fat zero out of ten for environmental friendliness? Well the survey has been updated and now Nintendo gets a whacking 0.3 points, which is obviously a massive improvement. Does that mean it’s OK to leave the Wii in standby mode?
14) Mario cake
This cake is by Ryan Bembridge, who says it would have been a shame to eat it. Hopefully that doesn’t mean it suffered the same fate as the last Wii birthday cake that we made, which spent four months going moldy inside a Tupperware box on a certain editor’s desk.
15) Tetroid 2012
Space Invaders Extreme showed there’s scope for even the simplest concepts to be updated in screaming neon colours, while New Super Mario Bros. proved there’s a huge market for big name retro Nintendo. So where’s our funky futuristic Tetris then? Tetris DS was great, but imagine if it looked and sounded like… well, like this. You’ll need a PC to run it, but it’s completely free to download and highly recommended. How about a DS version?
16) Wii Tidy
The tidiness of our games area leaves much to be desired, despite the presence of accessories designed to store spare remotes and other bits. However, maybe things would be different if we had one of these - like some of our existing equipment, it holds two remotes, two Nunchuks and a classic controller, but the difference is this one has slots in the back so the dangling leads can be plugged in and won’t get tangled. Yes, that’s exactly what we need.
