16) Vibrating mushroom
We can offer no explanation for this other than it came from NGamer reader William Neville (pictured, perhaps? Who knows?) and the text accompanying his email says simply “vibrating mushroom pillow from Hong Kong”. That is all.
This is part of an expertly constructed Halloween Mega Man costume. We’ve mentioned it here because Dead Rising fans will know it’s one of the special weapons in that game (and Mega Man uses it). Check out the step-by-step instructions if you want to try making your own.
Nintendo’s tech-heads are working on the incredibly complicated process of allowing you to save downloaded games directly onto an SD card, but it looks like you’ll still be limited to a puny 2GB of space. However, somebody on the cheapassgamer forums (who should probably be working for Nintendo) has figured out how to make the Wii recognise 4GB cards.

This would be cooler if the guy was wearing a dog costume. Still, he probably wouldn’t be able to do such a precise job finger-picking the theme from Animal Crossing’s Roost coffee bar if he had a pair of giant furry hands.
Ice hockey – brilliant sport. The best thing about it is the occasional fight, and in this recent dust-up between the Columbus Blue Jackets and Dallas Stars, the arena organist gives everyone a laugh by playing the theme from Punch-Out!! as players Jared Boll and Krys Barch trade blows.
