World Of Warcraft to begin shooting in January
Fantasy epic scheduled for 2015 release date
Duncan Jones’ World Of Warcraft adaptation is set to begin filming in the new year, with Production Weekly reporting an official start date for the fantasy spectacular.
The trade publication lists World Of Warcraft as beginning filming in Vancouver on 13 January 2014, with a view to a 2015 release date.
Plot details remain few and far between at this point, although rumour has it that the film will draw from the original strategy games rather than the more contemporary outings.
Those original titles presented a more straightforward battle between orcs and humans, and it is thought the film will use that clash as the basis for a traditional fantasy epic.
Casting has yet to be announced, but with a start date now firmly in the diary, expect to hear some announcements in the coming weeks…
