Motion controls aren't dead yet, folks! As shown during at E3 2017, Skyrim for Switch supports the use of the system's left and right Joy-Cons as substitutes for sword and shield...
Now for something completely different in #SkyrimSwitch: use the Joy-Cons to wield a sword & shield… #BE3 pic.twitter.com/iZ4lDXgQqnJune 12, 2017
Or a bow and arrow.

It's a neat idea for sure, but I can't help but have flashbacks to a certain game called Red Steel. Remember, the Wii game that was supposed to make you feel like a cool samurai mercenary assassin but really just made you frustrated as you wiggled your arm at the TV, trying to get the game to recognize your movements. It seems I'm not alone, as a fair number of reactions to these gifs has been... well, it ain't positive.
oh no. bad bad idea.June 12, 2017
How is this new? We did this in skyward sword and it was horrible #motioncontrolssuckJune 12, 2017
