WoW pacifist reaches level 85 through picking and mining
For the gourd!
One doesn't typically create a new character in WoW with the sole intent of picking flowers for five months, but US player Everbloom has apparently taken great pains to prove they are anything but typical. Late last week, the Night Elf Druid of indeterminate sex announcedshe (?)had achieved the ultimate in alternative advancement by reaching level 85 through gathering professions alone.
%26ldquo;Well I did it, lol. It was certainly a different way of levelling, requires lots of patience, but I did get to see the whole game in a new light,%26rdquo; wrote Everbloom on the character'sonline WoW profile, where proof ofthegrind-tastic, zero-violence task sits for the world to see.
Everbloomclaimed the project provided a newappreciation forthe game, asclimbing the ranks sans-killing required sneaking into virtually every last nook and cranny of Azeroth in search of mining, herbalism and archaelogy materials.
"If you like to explore, and enjoy a challenge I really REALLY recommend this," he (maybe?) said, explaining,"I have been playing since day 1 on other characters and I even have an original Loremaster (you know, back when it was hard) and I saw so MANY new things with Everbloom that it really made it worthwhile for me to continue on with this character and each level was a major achievement!"
Asked how long the achievement took, Everbloom added, "Oh I try not to look at days played. First rule about number of days played is we don't talk about number of days played! hehe."
When the character was created lastNovember, the original goal was to reach level 85 withoutfinishing a single quest. Everbloom was thwarted in this particular endeavour, however, when the-elf-which-may-or-may-not-be-a-dude-posing-as-a-chick opened a letter from an NPC during the "Invitation to the Argent Tournament" event and was credited with having completed a mission. Everbloom pleaded Blizzard to take down the errant score,but was told the stat would stick.
Undaunted, Everbloom is determined to try again, writing, %26ldquo;I am server transferring this one to Antonidas to join the guild which is a 0 kills guild that was started there for us alternate advancement people! I think most of the guild is searching out quests that require no killing, but I shall stick to my 0 kills 0 quests attempt yet again! Come join the ... fun? ;)%26rdquo;
We'll %26hellip;pass?
