Stone Cold's on the cover of WWE 2K16, and that's the bottom line
Stone Cold Steve Austin, the Attitude Era star and surprisingly successful entertainment entrepreneur, will body slam back onto store shelves on the cover of WWE 2K16.
Not only will Austin's powerful physique and immaculately hairless noggin grace the box of the upcoming wrestling game, but he's also working with developers Yuke's and Visual Concepts to help guide the direction of the the title. The relatively new wrestling franchise picked up from the WWE series after THQ's bankruptcy in 2012.
"No disrespect to the previous and extremely deserving WWE 2K cover Superstars - Dwayne 'The Rock' Johnson and John Cena - but it's about time the franchise raised some hell with yours truly on the cover," Austin said in a press release. "I look forward to injecting a dose of 'Texas Rattlesnake' into this year's game and overall campaign."
Chris Snyder, 2K vice president of marketing, noted that Austin's made "numerous contributions" to the title, which will also hold the largest roster of playable wrestlers yet among other to-be-announced features. Hopefully that means Stone Cold pulls up in a beer truck whenever the publisher starts discussing any plans for obnoxious paid DLC.

I got a BA in journalism from Central Michigan University - though the best education I received there was from CM Life, its student-run newspaper. Long before that, I started pursuing my degree in video games by bugging my older brother to let me play Zelda on the Super Nintendo. I've previously been a news intern for GameSpot, a news writer for CVG, and now I'm a staff writer here at GamesRadar.
