WWE 2K18 roster: all 187 confirmed wrestlers profiled, including DLC (Hardy Boyz, Elias and more)
Jack Gallagher
England's William Regal again misses out on 2K18, and if we're getting Tyler Bate and/or Pete Dunne it's only as DLC, but one Brit has made the roster: twirly 'tached Mancunian 'Gentleman' Jack Gallagher. He's one of a handful of 205 Live newcomers to make the cut, and hopefully we'll also see rivals Tony Nese and Drew Gulak added as DLC.
Jake Roberts
Fans of early-'90s WWE (or WWF, as it will known then) will remember Roberts as among the most highly sought-after Hasbro wrestling figures, thanks to the snake accessory which could be wrapped around defeated opponents. Yet incredibly, while his career clocked up numerous memorable feuds – in both real and toy rings – Jake never once held WWE gold.
Jason Jordan
The most clumsy storyline of the summer, if not decade, saw an exceptional tag-team (American Alpha) broken up so that Jordan could be 'revealed' as Kurt Angle's son. It reads like nonsense written down, and played out even worse on a TV set. Former partner Gable is now teaming with Shelton Benjamin, but AA's entrance should be in the game for those seeking a happy reunion.
JBL
John 'Bradshaw' Layfield recently departed WWE – where he'd been working on the commentary desk since retiring in 2009 – to dedicate more time to charity work. But given his numerous gimmicks across two decades with the company, don't expect him to be ditched from the 2K videogame series any time soon.
Jimmy & Jey Uso
The Usos grew increasingly stale as a face team before last year's heel turn – and it's proven to be masterstroke. They carried an entertaining feud with Tyler Breeze and Fandango, and scored Match Of The Year contention in bouts with The New Day at Battleground and Summerslam. On which note, that quintet's mid-summer rap battle is the funniest WWE segment of the year.
Jinder Mahal
In the spring of 2016 the former 3MB member wasn't even considered for videogame inclusion, given his extended absence from WWE; a year later he was the company's champion, and among its most requested videogame returnees. 2K has delivered, although likely without onscreen lackeys The Singh Brothers.
John Cena
Bizarrely, Big Match John wasn't on the list of names 2K first confirmed in mid-August – despite having already announced a special edition of the game devoted to the man himself. His appearance is no surprise, but the inclusion of Batista and Rob van Dam as part of that special edition is nonetheless a reason to be very cheerful.

Kalisto
For much of 2015 and 2016 it appeared that WWE was seeking to turn this speedy luchador into a modern Rey Mysterio – but those days are long over, and he spent the summer being crushed by Braun Strowman. Thankfully, an acrobatic, high-flying moveset makes him a fun-to-play videogame character regardless of real shortcomings.
Kane
The Big Red Machine has been absent from WWE for much of 2017, focusing his energies on running for the mayorship of Knox County, Tennessee. But his masked gimmick remains especially popular with young fans, so he was always a cert for the 2K18 roster – even after the revelation to GamesRadar+ by long-term rival (and, er, tag partner) Big Show that his gloves smell like yak meat.
Kassius Ohno
Ohno? Oh yes! The man otherwise known as Chris Hero returned to WWE TV screens earlier this year, but most wrestling fans assumed it'd be too late to make the 2K18 roster. His appearance here is therefore a highly welcome surprise, and he'll bolster a in-game NXT roster which recently lost Bobby Roode to Smackdown Live.
I'm GamesRadar's sports editor, and obsessed with NFL, WWE, MLB, AEW, and occasionally things that don't have a three-letter acronym – such as Chvrches, Bill Bryson, and Streets Of Rage 4. (All the Streets Of Rage games, actually.) Even after three decades I still have a soft spot for Euro Boss on the Amstrad CPC 464+.
