Xbox 360 Sopranos whacked
[PS2] TV hit tie-in becomes PS2 exclusive
The Xbox 360 version of THQ's The Sopranos: Road to Respectgame has been canceled, but development will continue for the PlayStation 2 version, expected out this November.
THQ snapped up the rights to make a game based on the hit TV show and initially planned a next-gen version of the game that has you playing as a young member of the Soprano crime family, carrying out orders from Paulie, Silvio, Christopher and Tony.
But now, the game will be a PS2-exclusive title, with THQ citing the fact that the Xbox 360 version was looking too much like the PS2 game. THQ wanted the 360 version to be a truly next-gen experience, but this wasn't happening, as developer 7 Studios was becoming stretched working on two different formats.
