Zach Galifianakis is on the lam in first trailer for crime comedy Masterminds: watch now
The first trailer has landed for Masterminds, Jared Hess’s crime comedy in which Zach Galifianakis plays the driver of an armoured money-transfer vehicle who decides to add a little excitement to his life… by ripping off his cargo.
Netting himself a cool $17 million in cash via an ludicrously half-assed heist, everything is looking rosy for our hero. That is of course until he opts to hand the loot over to his accomplices, who are only too happy to set him up with the authorities.
Take a look at the new trailer, below…
Galifianakis can do this kind of blundering man-child routine in his sleep, but his chemistry with a truly top-notch supporting cast is the real draw here. Meanwhile, Jason Sudeikis looks to be having a particularly good time as a luxuriantly moustachioed hitman…
Directed by Hess and co-starring Kristen Wiig, Owen Wilson and Ken Marino, Masterminds will open in the UK and US on 7 August 2015.
