Zack Snyder posts first look at Jason Momoas Aquaman
Zack Snyder has revealed the first official image of Jason Momoa as Aquaman, posting a shot of the Atlantean on his Twitter feed.
The image is accompanied by the caption, “Unite The Seven”, which we would presume is a reference to the seven seas, of which Aquaman is the rightful ruler.
Indeed, Snyder accompanied his post with the comment, “There is only one true king”, although whether Aquaman’s struggle to “unite the seven” will take place in Batman v Superman or his one standalone movie remains to be seen.
As to the image itself, it looks suitably cool, with the five-pronged trident standing out as particularly badass having previously been identified by Snyder as something he was looking forward to bringing to the big screen…
“The cool thing with Aquaman is his trident,” said Snyder, “so you have to realize that could cut the flesh of Superman if they came in contact. That’s a thing that’s in the canon. He’s super strong because of course he can exist at these super deep depths so when he comes up here he’s crazy strong.”
Aquaman will make his bow in Batman v Superman on 25 March 2016, before his solo movie arrives on 27 July 2018.
