The Legend of Zelda: Tri Force Heroes will 'Totem Up' on October 23
It's almost Totem Time. Built on classic Zelda challenges reimagined for three-player co-op, and filled with cute/weird new gear to personalize your own lil' Link, The Legend of Zelda: Tri Force Heroes will release on October 23.
If you're not familiar with the concept, Tri Force Heroes is basically Four Swords with one less character and a full emphasis on cooperation over competition. All three players even share the same hearts, so it's rarely in your interest to toss the two buddies totem-stacked on your head into a lava pit (unless they really deserve it).
Aside from the usual riches, dungeons will also yield special items that can be crafted together to form new outfits with special abilities, like samurai armor for an improved spin attack. It's playable alone, but you'll probably have a better time playing with friends over local wireless or an online connection.

I got a BA in journalism from Central Michigan University - though the best education I received there was from CM Life, its student-run newspaper. Long before that, I started pursuing my degree in video games by bugging my older brother to let me play Zelda on the Super Nintendo. I've previously been a news intern for GameSpot, a news writer for CVG, and now I'm a staff writer here at GamesRadar.
